"the absolue tension of opening"

Over the course of the 21 day process I made videos to affirm, celebrate and enrich my community.

Some of the videos were meant to affirm the growth going on in my community:

And in the bravery of my loved ones for being themselves!

I also made videos about amazing institutions in my extended community such as MotherHouse

and Queer Renaissance in Atlanta and Sojourners for Truth and Justice, a revolutionary black feminist organization from the early 20th century and I created a video representation of the embodied love letter project In Your Hands.

It was an honor to celebrate my community in this way. I realized that my love for community is the one thing that can push me to be creative and relentless with technologies that I am unfamiliar with. My love for my community inspires me to grow new skills.
